Izzy hadn't been lying. It had hurt. But the wolf endured it, letting out a few whimpers here and there until it was finally finished. She still felt sore, but given she was no longer bleeding everywhere and in danger of dying, Anna felt relieved. At the question of if she were okay, the black wolf got up and nuzzled Izzy's hand in thanks. She was still tired though. Not to mention starving. But exhaustion was weighing heavily on her. Physically and emotionally.
Tail tucked between her legs and her ears flattened to show deference, Anna picked a corner and padded over to it. Then she curled up and laid down with her head on her paws, the yellow eyes reflecting the hurt Anna still felt emotionally, as if the wolf was asking for help for her human half. Anna's wolf was a bit more like her mate's. They were more in tuned with each other and cooperated whereas other wolves had to be leashed in a manner mentally so they weren't bestial all the time.
