Anna nodded weakly. Locker room. She could change in there and fully let her wolf take control. The werewolf held Izzy's eye contact and heard the words of sorry. In spite of knowing it was coming, Anna couldn't stop the yelp of pain that sounded more canine than human. When her eyes opened, they were vivid yellow. She warily watched Izzy work. On their own her bones would have healed in a long, agonizing thirty minutes. But whatever Izzy did had her hand healed in a few minutes.
When it seemed the teenager was done, Anna hesitantly flexed her hand a little. She smiled in thanks, the yellow in her eyes faded a bit. After a few minutes of struggling, she slid off the table and nearly collapsed to the ground. Somehow she regained her footing and stumbled to the locker room before collapsing on a bench. Several minutes of fumbling later she got her phone out and sent a few messages on the boards. Connor seemed worried. She laid down on the bench and closed her eyes. This was going to hurt a lot more than her normal change. The wounds caused by the silver dagger were going to reopen. But this had to be done.
Letting the wolf have control, Anna began her change, not even bothering to try to remove the rags that had been her clothes. Painful whimpers and yips escaped her throat as her skin rippled and changed, the bones twisting and rearranging. Nearly ten agonizing minutes later, a black wolf with a splash of white fur on it's nose, larger than the largest known dog breed, laid where Anna had been. The beautiful glossy black fur was quickly becoming matted with blood and the yellow eyes were slightly glazed over from the pain. But the wolf laid still, whimpering to let Izzy know she was ready to be looked at.
