Elidara knew that she had been stupid when talking to the demon Meg. But part of it was boredom. After all, what did one do in the past that was relatively calmer than the future she was from? Oh, she knew that the past was far from peaceful. Her dad had died in the past. But things were so far from good in her own time that this lull in activity was actually sort of maddening. So she had been reckless and sassed a demon. And then got yelled at by Mal for doing the same thing he always did. Oh, she knew the stories. She had the memories from before he had just vanished. And it had been that recklessness which got him killed. Which should have been a sign to her to not be reckless. Instead, Elidara had taken up the mantle of fighter when she learned the truth and the seventeen year old held to it even now.
The fact remained though, she didn't take well to being cooped up and as it had been a few days since the whole 'lets sass a demon' thing, Elidara had decided she wanted coffee. Besides in her experience, demons struck at night even when they had free reign. So getting coffee at 11:30? Completely safe. Or that was the plan. Elidara had gotten her coffee and was walking back to the complex to meet up with her father for whatever plan he had of getting rid of Meg that she was allowed to partake in when she realized that she was being followed. Some people were too idiotic to know when they were being followed but not Elidara. She grew up aware of her surroundings because she had to be. Okay then, so much for plan head back to the complex. But she'd be fine. She had fought plenty of people in her time and come out on top. Sure she got injured but she never died. Though sometimes, in the far back of her mind, the petite seventeen year old had to wonder one way or the other if she even cared about that. Or if she did actually have a death wish. It wasn't too surprising. Elidara had always been closer to Mal and felt strained with Inara. There was really nothing to live for in her time beyond vengeance and trying to right some of the wrongs that Lucifer was putting on people. So what if she died in the process?
Quickly turning a corner, Elidara spun and noticed the two men following her.
"Oh, let's dance."
She had an idea on why she was being followed. So far they looked like normal men who just wanted to force themselves on her but she wasn't holding her breath when there were demons on the loose. Pulling out a knife she kept on her person, Elidara rushed forward and stabbed her one attacker in the shoulder.
"Christo!"
And that answered her question. Being pulled off the one demon and it's meat suit, Elidara struggled, searching for the holy water she always kept with her. Just because some of the kids here were from times of peace and didn't know how to protect themselves meant that Elidara was like them. Oh no. She was always prepared.
"Gorram morons!"
Pulling away, the brunette scanned the area for something to fight with as she started to say the exorcism. She was trying but it was hard to do. Especially while being thrown into a wall. Okay. That hurt. No matter. She'd keep fighting and exorcising the demons. That was what she had to do. Take out some demons, call it a day. An early day, but a day. Odds never mattered much to her but getting grabbed and shoved into the wall was definitely painful and then held back as the other demon started to beat on her for causing it pain. But she wouldn't give in. She couldn't.
And then, there was a hit to the side of her head and everything went black and she was taken away to wherever the demons wanted her. Well. This was not in the days plans.
