WHO: Paige and OPEN WHAT: Magic makings and curious passerbys. WHEN: Past Midnight WHERE: An abanonded shop in Lawrence. RATING: TBD. STATUS: In progress.
She was going to need some place better to do this. As time spent in this dimension grew longer, Paige's ideas became more extravagant. She'd always been the sister more willing to test the boundaries of spells and potions, caution not exactly thrown to the wind but sent to the momentary back-burner as research, showed a better way. She liked to test every option as thoroughly as she could; not one to throw in the towel. Then again, she was a Halliwell and even when they said they quit, never really did. They never really could.
Which was why she knew that she would have to find a better place than ... this. An old abandoned shop not too far from the many microbreweries and other, would have explored if she had the time, interesting stuff in Lawrence. She was in the shop because she didn't want to take any chances of accidentally blowing something up. If she did, she couldn't just leave it be as she did at home. Sending it to one of the many hardware stores that had the Halliwell name on file. If she broke something at the motel, she'd have to pay for it. Not to mention the people in the motel weren't as accustomed to weird as her neighbors back home were. Humans who'd learned long ago to take the kooky Halliwells in stride or demons pretending to be humans and wanting to kill them. The people here were neither and Paige had to be careful. Which was why she'd found this shop. But even this shop was too close to civilization to make the booms and explosions she was thinking that a potion to send her back home should make.
She would have to go scouting around for a better location. Even if that location was out of the state. It would be annoying to have to lug all the books around but orbing would make it possible.
With a sigh, Paige closed the Book of Shadows for the night. It would take major reworking of the Power of Three spells to get anything affective, and if she managed to get the words right, even then Paige didn't know what would happen. She wasn't certain what would happen if she called upon an ancient power in this world. A giant Puff running around ala Ghostbusters? Probably not as funny in real life as it was on T.V. And given what she knew so far about this world, Puffy would probably have razor sharp teeth and a machine gun leg.
She was putting away the extra potion ingredients, slipping a few bottles into a bag she had brought with her. They hadn't brought her across a dimension but they would definitely be useful in a battle. Just in case she ever found herself in one.
Paige was putting things away when she heard footsteps approaching. Who would be coming in at this time. With a whispered, everything but the book to my motel room, she cleared the area of anything suspicious substances, settling the Book of Shadows low on the floor and standing up to greet the arrival.
