Bertie grinned. A bit of company as he explored his surroundings would be just the ticket! The day had contained many rather unpleasant shocks, but the terrifically hummable music and exchanging computer telegram whatsits with myriad dashed decent people had gone a long way to restoring Wooster, B.W. to his usual sunny disposish.
He attempted to make himself presentable before he went out, doing what he could to tidy his hair and brush the dust from his suit. He made sure his tie was straight, removed a wilting petal from his buttonhole, took his hat and cane and biffed off out of his new abode and down to the lobby.
He had a moment of apprehension regarding the intentions of the young lady he was meeting- no one who'd been accidentally engaged as often as Bertie had could help that- but reminded himself that Lexi had had no matrimonial designs and cast no soppy looks up on the Wooster person whatsoever. She was a jolly nice girl once one managed to forget the whole vampire issue. Hopefully this new girl would be equally happy to view Wooster as a chum rather than a future husband.
He entered the lobby and spotted her leaning against the wall, twiddling about with her hair, and was surprised to find himself feeling a little relieved that she wasn't as unconventionally dressed as Lexi had been.
"Hallo hallo hallo!" he exclaimed cheerily, extending a hand. "Bertie Wooster, pleased to meet you."
