Who: Rose and Bertie What: Getting to know Lawrence. And the 21st Century. When: Right after his comm post (no exploded kitchens on this tour!) Where: Starting in the complex lobby and then traveling Warnings: I imagine none! In fact with all the bad, call this a breath of fresh air
There was a slight chance that Rose was bouncing. Literal bouncing on the balls of her feet as she headed to the Complex's first floor. Bouncing in the lift, bouncing down the hall, and bouncing into the lobby. This was so cool! There was so much evil going on around them that it was nice to meet someone who was neither a child from the future, or a future version of someone she knew. Or a new, blonde, teenaged companion in the TARDIS. Not that she was bitter or anything. She actually liked the Sergievskys' eldest. She just didn't want to think of that.
No, this was much nicer. Bertie was from the twenties, a brilliant era. And he was a gentleman, even better. Though it did make her take a little more time with her appearance. Rose never dressed in anything revealing, but she was also a pants or denims and snug shirt kind of girl. That might be a bit difficult for Bertie to deal with. So she chose one of her few skirts, at a respectable length, and a billowy top. Once he was more settled, she could dress like herself again.
Bertie also had the same face as one of her favourite actors growing up. Additional win right there.
She reached the lobby before he did, possibly from having been heading down there for nearly a year. She knew the place well by then. It felt like not that long ago that she'd been chatting with Freddie and Elena on her first day and now look at her. Just call her Rose Tyler, Welcoming Committee. If things ever settled, she and Felicia really would have to start that Welcome to the Apocalypse thing. She had money, why not?
Bertie would walk in to find her leaning on the wall, playing with the ends of her hair. She was really needing to get it cut, actually. Or she could grow it out. Be like the other her, the Billie her. Jamie had once told her to keep it as it was, but she now knew he wasn't the most reliable source. Maybe a change would be good.
