Aw man. It was gonna be one of those introductions. She felt bad for the guy. Stuck so far in the future and obviously not from a world that had the kind of things hers did. No supernatural in her world. Nothing that bad. But he'd woken up here. And dammit she knew the kind of world he was from. So this is how it would go. He'd find out that the supernatural was very real and very alive in Kansas.
"They are. You're lucky. You found one of the things that go bump in the night that doesn't want death and destruction. My name is Alexia Branson. I was born Alexia Sidarova to Russian parents of noble blood in the year 1659. The world of the supernatural is very much real here and you will have to get used to that or you will die very quickly around here."
Her face shifted into its vampire visage. She didn't like to use it, she didn't like to scare. But sometimes the short sharp shock was the only way. He'd have rambled on about how wrong she was or wandered off and met someone worse if it had come to that. "I'm not here to hurt. I'm here to help, but people like me are few and far between. But there are people that will help you. Good people. So you can either run scared and get yourself hurt or you can trust me."
Her face returned to human, and Lexi shook her head sadly.
"Sorry, I really am, and you have a lot you're going to have to adjust to and you will, I swear you will. I'll help you. But you had to know the truth."
