Traveling backwards in time had not been on River's agenda that day. It was a bit of a welcomed change to her usual agenda, which wavered between doing her best to fight off demons and all other threats to postpone her own death as long as possible. After all, she had to be there for Althea, to help her and ensure her survival. Their future was an increasingly dark one, and it really was only a matter of time before they were wiped off the face of the Earth, but River was a fighter, and she sure as Hell wasn't going to go down without taking some of the bastards with her. And she'd had a vengeance in her soul since Eleven had died. Nine and Ten, thankfully, had still been around, but when she'd lost her Doctor, that was really when she started getting more ruthless towards their enemies.
And really, Elizaveta was just a problem waiting to be killed. Oh she resented that girl's existence, cursed it each and every day. She really was only an ever-present reminder of what had happened with Romana. There had been a time that River had liked Romana, had been honored to even meet her, but now? She blamed her for allowing herself to let the Master manipulate her enough to not realize what he'd been up to the whole time. Why River hadn't acted on the Master earlier she couldn't really understand. She'd never actually met the infamous Time Lord in her own universe, but she knew his reputation and she knew people like him never really changed.
But as she made her way to the TARDIS, the foremost thoughts on her mind were of Althea. Obviously the girl had suffered since being here, something had happened to undo all the tireless and relentless work River had done to get Althea to stop thinking of herself as the sacrifice. It had been an incredibly long and hard road, but River had finally managed to win that battle. For the most part, she had a feeling Althea still tended to think it every so often, but she'd stopped insisting upon that. River was incredibly worried yet also agitated that someone had gone an undone every single bit of her hard work. Someone was going to get yelled at, or possibly shot, for that. But not just now.
Opening the door of the console room, River stepped in, closing the door behind her. She didn't need to ask where Althea was, she had a feeling of where she'd be. So River set off down one of the hallways, eventually coming to Althea's room. She gave a knock sounding her arrival, then stepped into the room.
"Althea?" Her voice and demeanor were full of worry. She put her bloodlust aside for the meantime in order to take care of Althea and try her best to calm her down.
