Dick raised an eyebrow and looked at Darcy with amusement. "Nah, it's true. His 'hat' is pretty funny." As far as personality went, Superman won that wore anyway. Batman wasn't exactly the most kid friendly. He knew, he'd lived it. Infact he was a little relieved when they said they didn't know, but he'd never admit it out loud. He slid into the cab and nodded.
"For real. Haly's Circus. My family was part owner. I could walk the traps before I could talk. I loved it. Still love it actually. The clowns a little less now admittedly, but the rest? I miss it sometimes." He ran a hand absent minded through his dark hair and looked over at her with a grin. "You're the best." She really had been good to him since he arrived. He wasn't sure if he should be paranoid or suspicious as to why, but he really did need a friend. Having one who wasn't a super hero was actually a good thing. They weren't really all that great at advice. Darcy on the other hand always had an ear out for him. He could talk without feeling pressured to do or be something else.
"Pretty much. I don't go out a lot during the day, at least I didn't before. I guess here I'll have to figure out work though so that'll be different." he gave her a little grin, though he was actually a bit nervous about it. "Never had to worry about money before. Which sounds pretty spoiled of me doesn't it?" He grinned sheepishly and tucked a hand into his pocket as he looked out the window at the city.
"This isn't even the strangest thing that's ever happened to me." He chuckled. "I remember this one time we fought on a giant type writer. Now that was weird."
