"I had mega fun, thank you. If I was you I'd never stop playing with all this stuff!"
When he made the jump Aurora gasped then giggled. "Epic!! That is so cool!" She spent the rest of the journey with a grin on her face, the high speed keeping her amused easily.
When they reached the park she sighed and turned to look at Bruce. "Time to go I guess. I had serious fun though, thank you, and I'll definitely practice! Being able to throw it without thinking would be way cool."
She started to get out of her seat then stopped and on impulse turned back around and, carefully avoiding the various triggers and buttons, gave Bruce a big hug. She pulled away and smiled slightly, but there was a hint of sadness in her eyes. Aurora might be a little crazy, and utterly spoilt, but she was also a lonely kid - and the evening had meant a lot to her. "Thank you again."
She hopped out deftly and waved from the sidewalk, before heading over to the waiting car, the smile gone now that she had to head home. Her hand slid into her pocket, feeling the batarang there, and her expression perked up a little. Not all bad. And the evening really had been everything she could have hoped for. She slid into the back seat of the car and relaxed, waiting to be taken home.
