Who: Aurora and Batman What: Ride in the Batmobile! For reals! When: Friday evening/night Where: Around Lawrence Rating: Suitable for all! Status: Complete
Aurora couldn't stop grinning at the computer screen. Normally she wouldn't be so extroverted about a ride around this stupid town, but this was Batman and the BATMOBILE. Nothing could top that for epic Friday nights, especially when she was stuck with no friends around and a Daddy who didn't really know her.
But her mum and him had said she could go! So she smudged on some eyeliner, changed into all black (it seemed wrong to wear colour if she was going to be sitting next to the Bat), made sure her lighter and her phone were in her pocket and bounced down the stairs to give her parents a hug and meet the car. She thought it was kinda weird that he couldn't come here, but Daddy always valued his privacy so it made sense in a way. It couldn't be that he didn't want people to know where he was, because that would mean they were telling the truth and that would just be crazy.
When she ran into the room she knew her parents were in they stopped talking immediately, and she slowed slightly until they looked up at her and smiled. "Thankyouthankyouthankyou this is so cool!!" was her immediate exclamation, and she hugged both of them tightly in turn, not even minding that Daddy wasn't really hugging her back. He was trying and he hadn't even been dating her mom properly here so she could understand that he was a little bit different to normal.
She flew out the door without waiting for a response (she'd learnt young that if things were going your way you shouldn't stick around and let them change) and straight into the car waiting out front. It only took a few minutes to get to the park and she hopped out before it had stopped fully, causing the driver to swear and break rapidly. Which just made her laugh.
She settled herself on the edge of the kerb and watched as the car pulled up 30 metres or so then stopped. It'd wait til he turned up - she was never really alone when Daddy was involved. Normally it'd piss her off, but considering where and when she was that was alright.
She pulled her lighter out of her pocket and started sparking it idly, watching the flame until the metal got too hot then stopping for a few seconds and repeating the motion. Soon she'd be in the Batmobile and she was sure there'd been a flamethrower in the movie, which would be a 100 times cooler than this.
