Anatoly simply nodded at her statement because really, words weren't necessary. It was perhaps a bit of a stretch to think of forging an alliance with Freddie, but Freddie and Florence were the only other people who even knew Molokov.
"We do need an overall strategy, but we should first get the girls protected, then go from there." Once the girls were protected, it would put them both at ease a bit more, allowing them both to think more freely and deeply about how to attack Molokov. "As we stated earlier, he will undoubtedly look to organized crime, so we can at least expect that kind of move. He is not one to act alone, not without having a group of people behind him to back up his every threat and every move." Anatoly was definitely thankful they were in America. The kind of people Molokov needed here fell under the criminal sect, and at least it would let them prepare for the kind of offensive.
He was silent for some moments when Svetlana said Molokov had the past on his side. It was true, and considering Florence was here, Anatoly was expecting that to come back to bite him even more than it all ready had. "He may have part of the past on his side, but we have the present on ours. I know this is where I belong, at your side, and it is my faith and love in you that will keep me grounded at your side." He was restating some things he'd said the other night, but he knew reinforcement, especially now was a good thing. Exactly how Molokov would use Florence against them remained to be seen, but Anatoly did wonder if the man would use that as a possible angle for breaking them apart.
Without the lure of the limelight, Anatoly needed to be wary. When Molokov was set on something, he stopped at nothing to get the outcome he sought. And right now, that was revenge for Bangkok. He also knew Svetlana was all ready dealing with a lot with the PTSD and the memories. That's when the thought occurred to him.
"I think we need to actually talk about some of the things we've been avoiding. It will be the only way we can stay strong enough to stay ahead of Molokov and counter whatever he throws at us." Because really, while now wasn't exactly the best timing, Anatoly knew it had to be done to keep them strong. If they did that and were able to completely withstand Molokov's attacks, it would only reinforce their bond. And it was the only other thing he could think of that Molokov might not expect. He surely wouldn't expect them to have rediscovered and nourished the bond between them to make it strong again.
