"I can ask Elphaba if she know of any spells or someone who is versed with protective magic and see if it is a doable option. I do not see why it would not, but I do not know the scope of magic so it would be better to know if it is doable and the risks involved..."
Truthfully, this was probably something they should have done before, but then again, when they first showed up, they had to adjust to this place and the idea that magic even existed. And while both had adjusted in the eight months there, that didn't mean that magic was the first thing one thought of after years of living in a place where magic was very far from real. Not to mention, at least for Svetlana, the idea of doing something like that did scare her on some level. Not knowing what to expect, what it would entail, what the side effects would be. Yes, it should have been done before, especially following the shootings, but with everything that was going on then.... perhaps it made sense why they were only now discussing this. But if it would keep Molokov from hurting the girls.... and now that Svetlana knew a witch. It would be fine.
"Yes, protecting them is our first priority. I am merely pointing out that it is a very strong possibility..." Far too strong in Svetlana's opinion and not something she wanted to think about because of what it did to her mentally as she was forced to remember the violence he had used against her in Moscow, absently tightening her grip on Anatoly's hand if only to try and keep herself grounded. "But I agree that there are people here who will not let him get away with any sort of violence."
It was just a matter of it they would pay attention to yet another man building up resources under the radar as they already had to worry about Moriarty, someone with a known kill list, someone prolific. He was more than just a government agent. Molokov? She still worried that he wouldn't be seen as much of a threat in the grand scheme of things.
"I know. It has to be a well laid trap, nothing obvious. And it is beneficial that he is only human and nothing more."
Which was part of why she had allowed the man to take her amulet. To keep him from being possessed. To keep him from getting that power even if he wasn't in charge of his body. Svetlana didn't know exactly what possession entailed, but she didn't want to find out. Then again, sometimes, the most human of people could be the greatest of villains. It was a slippery slope.
