"Well, they probably spend time together in each other's rooms," Alex said with a shrug. But he did find it odd. Of course his parents weren't even married yet. He wondered if the manor was built yet. Though he thought it best to keep quiet on that front since it was actually a wedding present if he recalled correctly from the stories. Their dad always did go big when he did stuff like that. The young man observed as the crystal indicated where they were. Chicago. But of course! That was where Damien had spent most of his life back in his own world. "Wait a minute.. today? It's around Valentine's this week, right? Do you remember Mom talking about one of their trips for this holiday?" Something about how he had wowed her with gifts, expensive dinners, and a romantic setting in a hotel. Alexander had all but rolled his eyes at the time he heard it, he didn't really talk mushy stuff with his parents.
He took a deep breath as he considered the risks of projecting himself. It was a bit of distance. Not like going to the other side of the city. It was a few States over. However, he had practiced it a lot before. As well as testing how long he could do it for. Still, it was a challenge. "I think so," he said, nodding at the idea. "I can probably be there for just a short time, maybe. I think a few minutes, maybe five at the most before I feel weary enough to return back here. But.. well, a few minutes is all I need to pass on a message." He took a few breaths then. This would be huge. They didn't even know him yet, so he was understandably nervous. But he could do this. He had to, since he was really the best choice for the task at hand. Alex thought briefly of trying to ask Mel.. but he also remembered her own son was here and they'd need their own time together. No, he would do this himself. That was usually the way it was for him in any case. But then, he wouldn't be truly alone, as Patty would be here to watch and made sure it all went smoothly from this end.
