Watching Helena's reaction to her query was wonderful. She could almost see the cogs turning, the various possible answers at the tip of her tongue. She was certain, however, from the look on Ms Wells face, that all those possibilities would have one thing in common - they would all be positive. They would all confirm her glorious suspicions, that Helena was fascinated by what Irene did.
And of course The Woman was right. If there was one thing she counted herself infallible on, it was the reaction people had to her art. It might take a minute or two, but without any verbal confirmation she would always know. Smirking back at Helena she nodded slightly, the gleam in her eyes reflecting that in Irene's own. "I had hoped as much, I will also confess."
Finishing her tea, she glanced at the clock and sighed slightly. "Unfortunately, my dear Ms Wells, I think we shall have to continue this vein of thought some other time. But I promise that when you wish, you can join me behind the door, as it were" she finished with a sensual smile.
