Irene Adler ([info]makethembeg) wrote in [info]wariscoming,
Oh, but this discussion was progressing wonderfully. "You're a wise woman, my dear Ms Wells. Revealing them all would ruin them, very true. I'm glad to hear I may get a chance to explore them though. Very glad." That look was simply too inviting to turn down, and she returned it with just as much vigour. "I will say, however, that I am much the same. You would need a lifetime of encounters to come close to knowing all I conceal." Which was more than just truth; it was fact. Not one person had come close to knowing Irene, not Kate, not even Sherlock. After all, knowing her properly would give a person power, and she was not one to hand that over lightly. She was not one to hand it over at all.

"Please do exercise it. In fact, take advantage of it if you wish. I won't object in the slightest." And she wouldn't; she couldn't think of anything more delightful than Helena arriving randomly on her doorstep. Unless she was in the middle of a session with a client, and even then it could be interesting. The thought of Ms Wells joining her with a whip in hand was simply tantalising. "Privacy is paramount, indeed. And judging from the reactions of some of the residents when I announced my profession you're quite right; between peeping toms and naysayers I would never have a moment to myself. Or at least the hall outside my residence wouldn't!" Smirking, she finished off her cake, thinking of how awkward yet amusing it would be to operate from within the complex.
