Who: Fred and YOU Where: Random alley in Lawrence What: Her arrival Rating: A for Angst? Status: Open!
Sleeping was the hardest part. It was hard because you were supposed to sleep at night when the lights were out because that's what normal people did, but it was too much like being back in Pylea where monsters were in charge and you were only a cow. A stupid, stupid little cow. So she kept the lights on, even at night, and slept in fits and starts only because she knew she was safer now than she used to be.
So it was a surprise when the bed suddenly changed and instead of sheets that really should be watched, all she felt was pavement. For a long moment, Fred's eyes stayed squeezed shut while she tried to tell herself it was a dream, but she wasn't waking up. Slowly they opened and widened as she realized she was in an alley, though still dressed in the tee shirt and jeans she'd worn to bed. Her head lifted slowly, then lay back down quickly - this couldn't be real, it had to be a dream.
She stayed that way for a few minutes, but discomfort crept in spider-slow, causing her to finally climb to her feet, wiping dirt from her hands off on her jeans. Huge eyes gazed around in confusion before she slowly made her way to the end of the alley, calling out in a soft, nervous voice, "Cordelia? Wesley? Gunn?"
