Sam nodded. He didn't have much. Just the bag on his shoulder and the phone on the table. Sam shuffled awkwardly, suddenly feeling ten times more uncomfortable now that it wasn't just him and Ruby. He had a hard time trusting people that he didn't know directly. Even though Bobby had said that Chloe was all right, Sam was still the type of person to be wary. The way that he lived, it would be nothing short of a surprise to anyone who knew him personally if he wasn't cautious around new people.
"Thank you for the food," he said politely, pulling the backpack higher up his shoulder. "We had sandwiches earlier, but that was a while ago and..." Ruby was asking for fries. He shrugged sheepishly. "She wants fries. I'm ready go whenever she is."
