"Oh, yeah!" Sam nodded, leaning forward a bit. "Definitely, we go all over the place, you have no idea. I bet Dad'll be okay with dropping us off, he sometimes goes away for -" Well, Ruby didn't need to know about all that. Dad said that it was supposed to be a secret and Sam wasn't about to say or do anything that would violate that. Even if at this point he sort of felt that it was all up in the air. This was a crazy situation and if there wasn't some sort of magic or curse or something involved, he'd be damned. That's right, he'd be damned.
"Plus, there's email," he added, nodding a bit. "If I can keep that computer I found? I'd definitely email you all the time. It's so much faster and it doesn't have to plug in anywhere or anything."
He picked at the last corner of his sandwich. He already knew why he was getting so excited about the idea of another person hanging out with him. Being on the road all the time? It was hard to make friends. Most people ignored him or picked on him. But she was nice. And she was pretty. Sam wouldn't mind talking to her even after all of this was over.
