The door didn't open. At least, not all the way like he originally thought that it would have. Peeking through the tiny space given, Sam frowned. Then a voice came through, followed by a small glimpse of the girl that he had been looking for. Sam thought that it was her anyway. The chances of him running into a young girl at a motel on her own on a regular basis was fairly rare. Sam was more than inclined to believe that he had gotten the right room.
"Ruby?" Sam didn't move. She was probably just as, if not more, freaked out than he was. At least Sam knew that this sort of stuff could happen. What about her? Was she aware of the things that went bump in the night? Did she know what sort of scary things there really were out in the world?
No. Probably not.
"It's me," he said a bit more loudly, stepping back so that she was able to see him more visibly, "Sam? You gave me your address, so...here I am."
