Was this a date then? This thing with Emma Swan the fairytale. He didn't think dinner with Irene Adler would be a date so much as a duel of wills and wits, and he looked forward to it, obviously. But this, this was something different. He had choices here. He could play the charming Irishman, tell her just how hard life had been, tell her Sherlock had done this to him, or was it too soon for any of that. Would any of it even work here? Or was he to play the villain in her fairytale. Wrap her in a web and keep her there until he was ready to destroy her. She'd told him that she would come along for curiosity's sake, and that was unusual in its own right. If she knew who he was, and what he was capable of, then what on earth was she doing leaving the complex to go to dinner with him. Would she tell anyone? Would she leave word or could he take her and never have it point back to him if anything had happened. Because she was beautiful, and willful, and part of him wondered if he would miss her if he killed her.

He suspected he'd miss the fairytale. So she would live. But he'd make her his all the same. Call it a challenge. Because it would be that. Molly Hooper hadn't known who he really was when he'd played her like the lovesick fool she was. Jim from IT, all designed for Sherlock, because of course he'd been on Jim's mind as much as Molly's when he'd seduced her. Poor Molly, who'd never seen it coming, who had fallen hard and fallen fast. Though she'd lived, she'd made him sit through hours of Glee, and she'd still lived. He was a damn saint sometimes even if he did say so himself. Or at the very least he was patient enough to play the long game. If she showed up here though he was killing her, and a Glee kid. He was sure he'd seen one running around somewhere

He was on his mind all the time, it was a problem. A very big problem that would need to be solved. But that would come in time. It wasn't time yet, with the idiot clown in the way, it gave Moriarty time to plan something special. And maybe, just maybe the lovely Emma would come to play a part in that. He had such plans for her.

He'd sent a car some time ago, usual trick, she'd change cars and be brought to him. In the first car had been a white rose. Just one. Once she'd changed cars there had been a red one waiting for her, and when she arrived she would meet him in a private back room, dressed to impress and holding the third of the roses. A black one. She could make whatever she wanted out of the gifts, it might even prove interesting. As it was, he would give Emma Swan a fairytale all of her own. If she behaved, if she went along with the story he was weaving for her, he might not even have to warn her about the sniper that would be trained on her in case she got uppity. He truly hoped it wouldn't come to that. It wouldn't fit the story, it would be oh so predictable, so dull. And fairytales were not supposed to be dull. He wouldn't have it, he just wouldn't.

She'd come to him willingly. That was what had drawn him in, and that was what might just be his fairytale's downfall.
