Well, at least she put everything back, Andrea thought, her frown diminishing. More curious than anything she looked momentarily at the newer older girl-more because she was the eldest one there than anything-before walking further into the kitchen. "I don't think Miss Paige or Miss Needy'd like it if you did that." Which wasn't a 'stop what you're doing' but an eight year old's reciting of the rules she knew in relation to others.
At the younger red-head's comment about going outside, her eyes and mouth widened dramatically, "By yourself!?!" Her already young voice going up an octave in shock. While her mind debated whether or not the other girl's foolhardy actions were cool or bad. Because sometimes bad was cool, right? She remembered the older kids in Suicide Slums saying stuff like that. But her mama said not to listen to those kids because if she tried what they did, she'd get in lots of trouble. But that didn't make it necessarily less cool right? This was very confusing, so Andrea just stated, "I don't think they'd like that either." Before pausing, hesitating. "Well, if you know how. That is a nice thing to do."
