At the Josh Groban look alike comment, Anatoly could only roll his eyes and sigh a bit. Oh he was so tired of hearing that. But there was nothing he could do. It wasn't his fault that he'd been born looking like this, nor was it his fault Josh looked like him. Because yes, Anatoly did come first chronologically speaking. It didn't matter that this wasn't his reality, he was still older. Therefore Josh Groban was an Anatoly Sergievsky look alike.
When the man left, Anatoly sat down and sipped his tea. He looked up at Svetlana a little sheepishly. "I know." Because really. Anatoly was an overgrown teddy bear. Or perhaps a puppy. Unless of course someone messed with his family, then he was incredibly intimidating. But in general? He didn't carry himself in a way that was threatening or intimidating. If anything, there was a giant neon sign above his head that read NERD, which was definitely far from intimidating. He smiled gently at Svetlana's appreciation. Oh he well knew not to try and stake has claim on her, he'd learned that long ago. He also knew she could handle herself in such situations, but he still liked trying to get the stupid men from bothering her. Can't blame a guy for trying! He was really wondering how Americans could go around like this. Didn't they have morals when raising their children? Didn't they tell them to respect others? Moreso, didn't they tell the boys to grow up to respect women, not objectifying them?
"Still, can't blame a guy for trying to be intimidating and such." He sipped his tea thoughtfully, relaxing now that they were alone and no one was paying them any heed. Anatoly was purposefully sitting with his back to most of the cafe, if only to cut down on the girls that tended to squeal about Josh Groban when they saw him. He could somewhat handle the squeal. It was the random hugging he could not. Americans were extremely strange creatures to him, especially in the 21st Century. "I think you could successfully intimidate the whole of this continent without trying while I would merely make them all laugh."
