She didn't have all that much local knowledge, but what she did have she was happy to share. And of course the shopping was the real draw. A break away would do her the world of good. "You too, and don't even worry about it. I wanted out." There was still a weird novelty in running around in the sunlight and it would never get old for Lexi. She stood in the sunlight of the lobby and couldn't resist a grin. Oh she still wore her mood ring from the seventies, but now she had two rings she never took off.
"Round here? I don't know if I'm surprised by that or not." she decided, it wasn't that she didn't think Lawrence was overly backward, it just didn't seem as urbane as what she was sure Irene was used to back in London.
"Clothes we can do. I knew a few places but I doubt we have entirely similar tastes, bar the basics. You're, whatever, fancier I guess." Lexi led Irene out of the lobby and started to walk toward the shopping district of the city. It wasn't a long walk and if she could walk somewhere in the sunlight rather than drive there she'd do it. Sunlight was amazing. She couldn't resist turning her eyes to the sky, it was still cold, it was still very much winter but there was sun there too. The daylight she'd had to hide from for so long. And she knew she hadn't technically earned the daylight ring from a witch, but she had been given the opportunity. Who in their right mind would pass that up.
"There are a few specialist stores too, don't worry. Nothing great, for that you'd need to go up to Kansas City, and not even I'm about to walk there. We can go at some point and make a day of it, but we'll do the basics today, what do you think?!
