It was true that the Master did prefer using that name to the alias, but he'd actually learned that in this world, discretion tended to help one go further. So discretion it was, but he was definitely not the patient type. The lack of drums had actually helped him gain some patience. He needed to learn how to function without them, and he needed to learn about himself. But the truth of the matter was, he was who he always had been, he was just trying to be good right now. "Exactly. Being discreet in this place is sometimes better, and for now let them go about not knowing me or not confronting me." At the comment about knowing the people here, the Master had to smile. "Oh I do. The line up has changed a lot, but I have watched these people for a while. Generally they are the stereotypical hero types. But they are not to be taken lightly." After all, even the Master had to acknowledge there were some pretty powerful people there.
But all heroes had a weakness. Heroes could still be wounded and be killed. The Master didn't exactly hate heroes, persay, he just had a general disliking of the human race. They had their uses, but they were far inferior to himself. They were like cattle to him. Though he might have to slightly alter that opinion when it came to Moriarty. But time would tell on that aspect. "She has a soft spot for me. On our home world, I was in prison, and during a war that ultimately destroyed our home, she released me because she knew I was the perfect warrior for that war." He smiled a bit, though he had mixed feelings on the matter. He missed Gallifrey, it was his home regardless of how his own people viewed him. But he was glad to not be in that prison anymore, or feeling the scrutiny of the other Time Lords whenever he was around.
"Moriarty it is, then. You definitely seem to have quite the style. Definitely better than what the books portrayed. Though I confess I never read the books, mostly just scanned one here and there." He definitely had an admiration for the genius mastermind Moriarty had going. This place needed more of those to balance out those silly self-sacrificing people. After all, someone other than Lucifer needed to pick on those types. The devil couldn't have all the fun!
"I do give it to them that yes, usually I'm also planning something. But let them line up, I say." At hearing about Sherlock, the Master merely quirked a brow before he smiled. "Don't you just love having your nemesis here? The Doctor is here as well. Well, technically three version of him. It's rather delightful to get one up on them." Which the Master yet to pull one over on the Doctors, but just knowing they were there for him to play with if he so wished was rather delightful.
