School was a new experience for Serenity. The loudness of other children her age, the busybody teachers who took her stoic silence for not paying attention, and the outright stares. Serenity returned these rude looks with glares of her own. Lawrence, Kansas wasn't really that diverse and the asian population was very small in a place like this. She wasn't surprised that the three of them attracted attention. Serenity didn't mind as she intimidated everyone so far. No one dared approach her and that was the way it would stay.
She rummaged through her locker, wondering if she should wait for Rei or Minako to escort her back to the Complex. In that same moment she was almost flattened by some rowdy boys going off to their after school sports. She pressed herself against the lockers until they had past, sending a nasty glare over her shoulder. 'Stupid boys..' She thought as she placed her textbooks with no interest to her inside the locker. She wanted to hold on to her History text. There was so much the planet had been through since the Silver Millenium. Well, the timeframe anyway as her former kingdom never existed in this world. Serenity supposed everything else was the same since this Earth and her Earth seemed quite similar.
Finishing up, she slid her bag onto her shoulder and closed the locker. Serenity couldn't help but smirk inwardly as people from her classes scattered as she stormed through them with her best look of superiority. As she was leaving out the front doors, she heard the commotion outside. Curiousity took the best of her and she stepped towards the stairs to take a closer look. Rei was getting bullied. Geez. Serenity looked around for something useful, and lit up practically when she saw a gardening hose left on the lawn. Sure it was winter and most of the plants were dead, but there were a few flower pots with Mums in them, still struggling to hold on to life.
She picked up the hose, turning the faucet head to on and smirked as she made her way down the stairs. She whistled to get the girls' attention and then sprayed them down with the icy water in their faces.
The girls screamed and tried to cover themselves from the spray but they were getting soaked anyway. Serenity let go of the hose's handle, "Get out of here. Now"
They all scampered away giving Serenity their best impressions of an angry wet dog. She looked down at Rei, holding out her hand to her, "On the first day of school, Rei?"
