People were turning into children. Grown people. Now little children. All small and childlike.
It didn't matter how many times Martha tried to wrap her head around it, it still made no sense to her at all. It was new, and by now she had assumed that nothing could surprise her any more.
"That's why this is happening isn't it," she muttered aloud, glancing to the ceiling. "All to punish my assumptions, I know it."
And it seemed she was actually going mad. Well, it was all due to happen sooner or later. She sighed, shaking her head as she wandered down the corridor.
And all but collided with the little girl creeping down the hall.
Martha yelped with surprise before she glanced down. Racking her brains as to who the child in front of her might be, while trying to suppress her panic, she forced a smile, as nice as she could.
