Grinning slightly, Kimberly rolled her eyes. "Yeah, yeah," she acquiesced, smirking at him. The truth was, though, that even if Connor hadn't been 'an idiot,' as he'd put it, there was no guarantee that he'd have had it in him to tell her how he was feeling and she wasn't entirely sure she could have told him, either. It was better, the way it had happened, she thought. But, she knew better than to push the point and say as much. Things were going well right now; who was she to ruin it?
Connor pointed out that they hadn't been 'just friends' in a long while and Kimberly was inclined to believe that. The thing was, neither of them had seemed willing to admit it out loud until just now, so she'd had no reason to think anything else. She was glad to hear him say that he still wanted to be her friend because she lived by the same philosophy. It was why she and Dano had worked out so well when they'd been together. The only problem with the two of them was that they'd ended up deciding that friends was better, in the end. Somehow, Kimberly didn't think it was going to come to that with Connor. Yes, they were friends, but they hadn't been friends as long as she had been with Dano. Things had been bound to fail with her ex because they were too close as friends to make it work without it being weird. She wouldn't have that problem with Connor. "Right," she agreed aloud. "I'm totally with you on that."
A smile crept over Kimberly's lips and she leaned forward to brush her lips chastely against Connor's. "Do you really even have to ask?" she joked, resting her forehead against his and nuzzling the tip of her nose gently up and down the side of his.
