Kimberly knew she was right, so she didn't see any point arguing the point. Already she could tell that Connor was a little stubborn, if only when it came to putting himself down, which she'd have to work on breaking him of. At least, in her presence; she didn't think he deserved it and she certainly didn't agree with it.
She smiled as he rested his forehead against hers after pulling away from the kiss. "Shut up, it's fine," she laughed lightly. "Besides," she pointed out in return, "if we hadn't sung at each other, who knows how long either of us would've waited to actually say those things?"
Pulling back a little further, Kimberly held his face gently with one hand and studied his expression. "So then...have we officially crossed the friendship line or do we want to wade in slowly still to see how it goes or...?" She paused and chewed her bottom lip slightly, giving him a sympathetic sort of smile. "I know what I want, but...I don't want to push you, either, because then that's no good, you know?"
