To be honest, Connor didn't really have anything planned, per se. He knew he wanted to spend time with her and he didn't care if it was sitting on the couch watching It's a Wonderful Life or slow dancing to Christmas music or doing the old standby, sitting and playing video games. He just...really wanted to be around her, was all.
That was, if she didn't just flat out give up on him for what he'd done as her Christmas gift. Oh, sure, he'd gone and gotten her a gift card to a photo supply store in town (after she'd gone and wished herself his original gift idea), but it was the other, more personal one he worried about. It had seemed like such a good idea. She'd wished for photos of her friends, like in her room back home. And no, he couldn't do that, not even with the stupid bauble.
But he had gone and gotten her a bound book of photos. Pictures of actors. Not just any actors, of course. He'd found photographs of Sarah Carter, Alejandro Rae, and Shaun Sipos. He'd even found ones of Andrew Airlie. In other words, Connor had put together a book of pictures of her friends and her dad. It wasn't the same, and he knew it wasn't, but it was as close as he could manage.
Now to just pray she didn't think it was completely ridiculous. "Here," he volunteered as he rushed to the tree to retrieve her gift, trying not to look like an eager puppy. The gift card sat on top, because at least then she'd know he wasn't completely ridiculous. Then he simply rocked on his heels and waited. This would either work out really well, like he hoped...or fail miserably and have her kick him to the curb, like he'd feared for the last several nights.
