"Hi," Kimberly answered, blushing slightly in spite of herself and smiling back at him. "Merry Christmas to you, too," she added. It had never been awkward being invited into Connor's place, before, and so the sudden wave of it that hit her when he asked her in was unwelcome to say the least. But, she gave him a shy sort of smile and let herself in. "Thanks."
This did not have to be weird. It really didn't. This was what she wanted, after all. She wanted to be with Connor for the holiday, she wanted to make good on the things they'd sung at one another, and she wanted to feel that lovely fluttering in her stomach that she always got when she was around him, but this time she enjoyed knowing that it was for a reason. They had plans; they were on the same page, finally.
Looking around, Kimberly noticed that he'd decorated. A lot more than she had, even. "It looks really nice, Connor," she commented honestly, looking back at him. "My place is way less festive. I kinda feel like a slouch by comparison," she added with a smirk and a laugh.
