Kimberly was, in a word, anxious. It seemed like the day was dragging and by the time 7:30 rolled around, she couldn't stand waiting anymore. Knowing she still had two hours to go, though, Kimberly decided to take a second shower. It was probably the longest shower she'd ever taken, if she was honest, and even then, it only killed forty-five minutes. So, she blow-dried her hair, which she nearly never bothered with, preferring to allow it to dry naturally, half out of laziness and the other half out of consciousness for the damage that sort of heat could do to her hair.
Then, Kimberly went through five outfits before going back to the first one she'd tried on. Something made her wonder if she was putting forth so much effort to look perfect that it would show and make her that much less the vision of perfection she was going for, but with that much time on her hands and nothing to do, she was unable to help herself. Maybe Connor was dude-enough that he wouldn't entirely notice. She hoped so.
At 9:25, Kimberly couldn't stand it anymore, and in spite of prefering to be a couple minutes late to engagements such as this, she headed to Connor's apartment and tried to ignore the way her stomach twisted itself with nerves when she knocked on the door.
