Harley might have been bouncing. Actually bouncing. That weird Loki guy who was apparently some kinda god thing was gonna get her a hyena. And she'd have a hyena, who would remind her of her beautiful babies still back home with Mister J she supposed. Aw she hoped he was treating them good, letting them get up to all kinds of mischief. She could imagine it, explosions and laughter and fire and... He'd miss her, she knew on some level way deep down that her puddin' would miss her. That if she was still at home he'd come and he'd find her and he'd tell her that everything was gonna be okay and he'd never hurt her again.

And she knew, she knew that she shouldn't wish him here with crazybird just waiting on a chance at revenge but she missed him all the same. Not that she'd ever tell Red that. Aw Red. Red was amazing, her best friend, the one that had picked her up after Mister J had gotten so mad at her that day that he'd really badly hurt her. And Red wasn't like that, she'd never hurt her. She was one of the best people in the world even if crazybird and the futurebat didn't think so. But what did they know anyway. Just cause sometimes she got a little wacky over plants and trees. Everyone had their eccentricities.

Red was a study in psychosis just like Mister J, and she fascinated Harley too. But now she was more than that, they shared an old abandoned house in Lawrence. Mostly covered in vines and flowers of all sorts but Ivy had given Harley a concession and made sure that one room at least was free of plant life. Harley had given her room life and color as much as she could. And she was happy there.

Mopey sometimes but Red never really gave her the chance. And the Hyena would help. She bounded into the room where Ivy was tending a flower, blue this time, careful as ever not to step on any of the plants she wasn't supposed to and flung her arms around Ivy's waist pulling her into a hug.

"I'M GETTING A HYENA" she almost squealed, still unable to believe it. "It can stay in my room and I'll train it up I swear and you'll love it Red, you'll love it."

There were few people who knew Harley as well as the woman she was hugging like there was no tomorrow and definitely no one here, and Harls liked it that way.

It wasn't uncommon for Ivy to be working on flowers. Especially ones that needed to be nursed back to health. The red headed woman had found this particular one in bad shape when she'd gone to get some fresh air. Sick because the soil of the park that she'd been in was the wrong type for that area. Really, who was in charge of the parks here? It was sickening. She had a plan. Nothing evil, but just to bring life back to the park in the form of its flora. She just needed specifics of the area and the flower she had found would be the way she did so.

Once she had gotten back to the abandoned house, Ivy had gone and holed herself up in her 'lab', which was really just where all of the sick plants were, the plants she was intrigued by, things of that nature. There were always new toxins to discover. Always new ways to learn the area if one just listened to what the plants said. As such, when Harley made her entrance, Ivy was lost in concentration, focusing on the blue flower in her hand.

Or, she had been before she was being glomped onto by Harley, causing a startled 'oh' to escape the green woman's lips as she managed to keep from falling. Once she regained her balance, Ivy just quirked a brow at Harley. not even phased by the squeeling and rambling.

"Are you now?" Carefully extracting herself, Ivy smirked in amusement, "And how did this come about? The last I heard, you were cursing the tini Jedi for stealing your hyena."

`Stupid Jedi Brat. Oh Harley didn't like her. Not one little bit. But she'd gotten her hyena from that stupid angel with his stupid chocolate bars. Harley had been productive and gone to the other guy. The god guy. It was totally a better way to do it and now she was gonna get her own little pet Hyena. And she couldn't wait. It helped that Red was cool with it being in the house, she'd trained the babies she'd train this little guy. "Yeah well the Jedi ain't got what I got. I got a freakin' god on my side, and yeah okay so Loki's supposed to be all trickster but so am I, right?" He's gotta approve of me, which is totally why I'm getting my own hyena. Aw Red, I get to take it for walks, I get to have a little hyena friend to laugh with. It's gonna be amazing!"

She'd finally gotten Ivy away from her blue flower as the woman had extracted herself from the hug and turned to face her seemingly more amused than anything else. Which she supposed made sense.

"So what'cha doin'?" she asked moving to sit on one of the thicker vines, she didn't think it'd mind and Red would tell her if it did. She patted the space beside her so Red would take a break and talk to her, sometimes she got all engrossed in the plants and it was boooorriing. "Why's it sick and how're ya gonna fix it?" She didn't honestly much care how it happened, she knew Red did though so sometimes she pretended, just like she figured Red did about her and her crazy sometimes. And the fact that the toxins didn't effect her anymore always helped. She could be in places like this and not have to worry. It was why they made a good team.

Ivy should be more concerned about the fact that Harley seemed ready to wage a war with a teenager over a hyena, but really? It wasn't all that surprising. Gods, angels. Whatever. Ivy really wasn't keeping track of things like that. If Harley wanted to do so, well, that was her own thing. There were more pressing things going on, like the fact that the parks committee of this town didn't even know how to take care of their plant life. What sort of parks and recreation committee didn't know that? It was sickening.

"Gods, angels, it's really quite tiresome, but good for you. As for being a trickster, there's nothing wrong with that so long as it doesn't go overboard." Okay, so overboard was all subjective. Especially where Ivy was concerned. Really, so long as children and plants didn't get hurt, she probably wouldn't care what was done. Priorities. Ivy had them. "Still, I know you'll take care of your hyenas, you did back home, after all."

It was true, Harley always loved her hyenas. So what if they weren't considered a 'normal' pet. None of them were normal. How could someone be normal if they were from Gotham? Future!Bat and rogue!Robin were testament to that.

Watching Harley go to one of the vines, Ivy shrugged some at the comment. The vines were fine, they liked the two so really, there was no reason why Harley couldn't sit there. As such she moved over and sat next to her friend and stretched slightly.

"It's sick because the idiots who run the plants and recreations committee here don't know the proper way to care for the plants here. So I'm figuring out what it needs and giving it to her. And then I'll work on the rest of the area."

Well, it was better than blowing up corporations who harmed plant life? She'd just, enhance the plants here. Give people something beautiful to look at and appreciate. What was wrong with that?

Tiresome was one word for it, confusing was another, Harley wasn't used to a world with angels and gods and stuff, she'd take overgrown Bats and aliens with weird notions about pants and tights over gods and angels. But it was here they were stuck, and at least that Loki fella was a trickster. Harley liked Tricksters, they made life interesting, they made everyone around them at the very least waiting for the next surprise, and this particular trickster god guy have gotten her a hyena. Gods 1 Angels 0. In Harley's opinion at least. And Red seemed happy for her which was good, she'd have to deal with the Hyena living around the place. But Harley hadn't been lying when she said she planned to train it. She'd get a young one. Old enough to be away from its Mama but young enough to train. Maybe she'd get two.

"Aw, its not that bad, he reminds me of Mi..." No no no don't say that in front of Red. She'd get all ranty about how horrible he had been to Harley, and while it was true, it wasn't always so nice to hear. So she cleared her throat and hoped for the best. "...home" she settled on finally and turned to look at her friend wanting nothing more than to turn the subject from what she knew was on Ivy's mind now. Harley might not have been the best psychiatrist in the world but she was trained all the same.

"So we gonna show them the proper way, or can you do it from here, Can I help? I mean I'm gonna be busy with the babies 2.0 but I'm still willin' ta help if you want me to? And no ones gonna hurt no kids round here Red, heck, even I'd go nutso on 'em if they did, that ain't right doin' that" she told her friend.

"Did I ever thank ya for helpin' me out? Here and at home..." she added with a shrug, Ivy was her friend, and she really had helped her out more times than she could count. So if Harley could repay even a little of that why shouldn't she.

Really, so long as Harley didn't think about that damned Joker, Ivy didn't really care who she associated with. Well, unless that person also turned out to be some crazed maniac who liked to abuse the women who trusted them. Then she'd have issue and there might be death. But it would be justified in the green skinned woman's opinion. Not that many took her opinion for much. Psychotic eco-terrorist and all that fun stuff. But Harley getting a hyena or two? That was nothing in Ivy's mind. It made the blond happy and hopefully would keep her out of too much trouble so she didn't get herself hunted or killed. Because if that happened? Woe to whomever it was that laid a hand on her.

The comment almost sounded like Mister J. In fact, Ivy was fairly certain that was just where Harley was going before she caught herself. So the red head merely quirked a brow at her best friend.

"Mmhmm..." She clearly didn't buy it, but she wasn't going to press it. Not until it became a serious issue. She knew that Harley undoubtedly had Stockholm's Syndrome and that was why she continued to worry about the abusive bastard who had left her for dead so she knew it would take time. But that also was tiresome. And as expected, Harley changed the topic to wanting to help.

"I can do that. It's merely an issue of changing up the soil to the correct type, changing it's chemistry and such." Which was something really only Ivy could do on the organic level. If necessary, she'd get Harley to infiltrate the committee and tell them what was needed but she'd watch for the time being. "But I know you're willing to help so if something comes up, I'll let you know."

The comment about the kids seemed to come out of nowhere, but again, it was Harley Quinn, no one could really ever know just what would come out of her mouth. Still, she couldn't help but worry. Harley might not go crazy on the children, but there were still bad people out there.

"No, it's not right. But we'll make sure it doesn't happen." Who said that the two resident crazy villains from Gotham didn't have a code of ethics and could be just as much a vigilante as the bats and robins? And then another topic change.

"You might have, but you know I don't mind. What brought that on?" Tilting her head to the side, Ivy looked at Harley curiously.

Yeaaah Red didn't buy it even a little. She never bought it when she tried to cover up any lingering feelings for her puddin'. And it made sense that she got cross, the Joker really had tried to kill her a bunch of times and it was always Ivy that picked up the pieces after the fact. Red was amazing like that, and being where they were now, far away from Mister J, it was so much easier just to be who she was supposed to be. And if she had her puppies, well everything would be better, everything would be easier.

"Yeah, I know, Mmhmm. But that's all done, and I'm here now, with you! Just you and me against the world and all remember?" She grinned widely trying to show Red how over it all she was, hopefully it even worked. It seemed to as Ivy went on about chemistry and soil and stuff, it was very much her thing. But she'd help and Red knew she'd help, so it was all good. Harley liked how Ivy made everything make sense when life got all scattered, and Harley knew, she knew from her old profession that she was just putting all the crazy need for acceptance on to her now. But it was healthier, she knew that too, she found it hilarious sometimes that she could look at her own diagnosis and point it out to herself in her own behavior.

As for the rest as for how Ivy had helped her over and over in the time since they'd been friends.

"I know ya don't mind, but I like sayin' it anyway, I just...I've been thinking of, y'know him and sure I miss him, I might miss him forever but bein' around you havin' you help me out, its better. I know its better and I figure I don't say it enough, so, here I am, sayin' it again."

Of course Ivy didn't buy it, because she knew Harley far too well. She had seen plenty of women throw their lives away on an abusive jerk who claimed he loved them, who felt they would be the ones to change him. And despite the pain and heartache, they held on. Oh, Ivy was no psychiatrist, but she could still read people, even when she mostly focused just on her plants. And while some felt that mankind could be saved, that it was redeemable, Ivy knew that to be a lie. But right now, she was playing nice. She would take care of the plants of this world. She wouldn't hurt people unless they hurt her or Harley or children. Like hell was she letting some messed up in the head Robin kill her. She'd kill him first if it came down to it.

"Yes, it is, just like always. The world doesn't understand nor are they worth it."

She tried, she really did. But Ivy would never care for humankind as a general rule. There were the exceptions, those who were innocent and had done nothing to deserve her ire, the children. And there was Harley who somehow had weaseled her way into Ivy's heart and made her care. In what capacity, not even the red head knew, but she did know that nothing would separate the two now. Not even psychotic clowns showing up on a whim because the Seal seemed to think itself amusing.

"All right, well, you're welcome then." Really, how was Ivy supposed to respond? Apparently friends helped one another and apparently that was what the two were. Human relations never made much sense to Ivy but she went with it because it felt right. And that was something rare for Ivy.
