Who: Ronon Dex and Isabella
What: Ronon caves and decides to try out the food in the community kitchen.
When: The 25th around dinner time
Where: The community kitchen

The simple fact that shelter was free in this world made everything all the more suspicious. Ronon had found it difficult to sleep or even rest for this reason alone, but a lack of sleep wasn’t the only thing that troubled him. He hadn’t eaten since his arrival and it was becoming more and more difficult to ignore the stubborn rumbling in his gut. He had nothing to barter and no currency to his name. The only option he had left was to visit the complex’s community kitchen.

The food in the kitchen was, like his apartment, free for anyone who needed it. The one reason he had put it off was because it was so difficult to trust. Yes, he’d seen charitable people in his lifetime, but that did little to convince him that it was safe. Still, he couldn’t put it off any longer. He was starving. It wasn’t as if he’d expected a fight upon leaving the living space, but he carried his weapon with him anyway. He did not want to be caught unprepared.

Ronon closed his door behind him and made for the stairs without much fanfare. He made his way into the nook, looking for some kind of food that he might have tasted or at least seen before.

This world was becoming more and more curious. The celebrations were interesting, to say the least. Isabela was generally one to avoid family gatherings, or really anything that involved children being around, but she'd attended the Thanksgiving celebration. The pirate queen was a lot of things, but child-friendly was most definitely not one of them. Yet somehow she'd managed to behave herself and not swear as much or use dirty talk around the children. But after that, she'd gone and gotten back to using foul language.

Today, she'd gone out for a walk, mostly to see if there was any place she could potentially acquire and use for her "business" when she got things really rolling. There were a few buildings that looked promising. Currently they were either for rent or sale or were just plain abandoned. She'd need enough room for the club she envisioned being the front, room in the back where the real fun would take place, and room for apartments where the men and women could live. Isabela was not a business person, and she wasn't exactly the best at planning things, so she'd have to find a person with business sense to help her. Perhaps she should ask Ruby if she had any ideas on who could help.

Upon returning to the complex, she walked in and headed past the kitchen, originally intending to go to her apartment. At least until she saw something tall, dark and rugged in the kitchen. Isabela stopped and backed up, going back to the doorway. She watched him for a moment, then when she didn't recognize him, she decided to introduce herself. Yes, she was a whore, but she didn't care.

"You must be new around here. I don't remember seeing you before." A simple enough breaking-the-silence beginning. She smiled at him, for the moment restraining her flirtatious side. That would come soon enough.
