Who: Fiyero and Galinda What: Meeting of the exes! It's just crazy complicated what they are, so uh, awkwardness! YAY AWKWARDNESS! When: Afternoon of the 19th of November Where: Coffee shop in Lawrence Warnings: Anything beyond Awkwardness will shock me.
While Galinda had been feeling bothered by a lot of things, mostly that Elphie was still upset and traumatized and wouldn't talk to her or Elena or really, anyone about it, she was feeling in better spirits than she had in a while from her conversation with Connor on his post about what people wanted to be when they grew up. He was right. She had done it. She had been trained under Madame Morrible, which wasn't such a good thing now that she knew the truth, but she had met that goal. And now she was working with Elphie to discover her true abilities. Or she had been. But they had figured it out. And while it wasn't what the blond had wanted to do, always so much more interested in fashion and architecture, protecting those she cared about? That was okay. More than okay. It gave her purpose and proof that she wasn't just some pretty face. Sure, she still thrived on attention, the need to be loved, and she still felt that, following everything with Fiyero and now James, she really wasn't good for much beyond sex and being someone's punching bag, but she at least knew she had something special. Now if only she could believe Connor that she had the whole package. Popularity, a good head on her shoulders and her head in the right place. Because if she had that, why couldn't she find love? Why was she still convinced she'd be left behind and forgotten?
But right now, she wasn't really thinking about that. Right now? It was coffee time! There were so many flavors that she just had to try. She wanted to know everything about coffee. That, and things were getting moodified at Damon's. The vampire and Elena were distracted by something, worried and Elena seemed to have postponed her singing thing she wanted to set up. And Elphie was still hiding away watching On Demand. Which left Galinda rather bored. She had finished her painting for Elphie and had it hidden for now. So, because things were tense and she wasn't working that day, Galinda had gone to her favorite coffee shop and was waiting in line. She had tried pumpkin spice and peppermint, now what? The options were limitless, and she didn't know what sounded good. Really, these were the problems she preferred to have. No thoughts of broken hearts and being attacked by a vampire and left for dead.... she'd be lying if she said she wasn't worried about what was going on with Damon, Elena and Elphie but she just... she wanted to not think about that for just a bit, otherwise she might completely lose it because she couldn't fix it. She couldn't protect them and as that was where her powers were, it really just wasn't fair.
Getting to the counter, Galinda smiled to the barista as it was her normal one.
"Hi! I was wondering if I could try the..." Chewing on her lip for a moment, she finally chose one, "Eggnog latte, please?"
"Of course."
"Thank you!" Paying, the blond bounded over to the waiting counter and waited. She knew it was supposed to be cold out now, but it seemed really nice, and not just because she was from the Northern regions of Oz. But it was about 70*, which was really nice. There were plenty of cute winter fashions and she had already prepared herself for it, but it was nice that the weather was still agreeable.
