Who: Ronon Dex and open What: Ronon’s arrival When: Present day, before dark Where: downtown Lawrence Rating: Mild, thus far. Status: CLOSED
It all happened in one disorienting moment. Ronon was supposed to be traveling to the planet P3M-736, but in the blink of an eye he found himself on the corner of a paved street. It looked nothing at all like the planet he expected to find himself on. Though no one seemed to mean him immediate harm, Ronon remained on guard. He was ready at any given moment to draw and use his particle magnum, a gun he’d come to rely on in many different sketchy situations.
Ronon looked very similar to most humans in this town - Four limbs, a body, and a head, but somehow he still wound up sticking out like a sore thumb. It might have been his height. Ronon was taller than everyone he passed on the concrete walkway, not to mention broader in the shoulders with intimidating muscle tone. Still, he walked on as if he blended in with the crowd perfectly.
Of course this didn’t keep everyone from gawking at him. It was the beginning of autumn in Lawrence Kansas. People were starting to wear warmer clothing, often in layers. Ronon wore a leather vest, pants, and not much else. If he even felt the slight nip the cool evening breeze created he certainly didn’t let on that it affected him. There was also the matter of his gun. Many of the people in the immediate area had only ever seen guns on television shows. They had most certainly never seen something like Ronon’s particle magnum up close and in person.
Having been a runner as long as Ronon had, he had learned certain skills and techniques. First, he’d decided, he needed to find out where he was. As soon as he had figured that out he would find another world, escape this one before the Wraith had found him.
Like some kind of sign from a higher power, Ronon set his sights on a banner above a store that read ‘Information Cafe’. He scoffed at how easy it seemed. Nothing was ever this simple, was it?
