Who: Phoebe and Prue
What: Piper's gone, it's time for some emo, some comfort food, some talk.
When: Early afternoon today
Where: Phoebe's apartment
Warnings: Low.

Being here for a year and a half, Prue was well aware that people came and went quickly around here. However, she didn't appreciate how her sisters and extended family kept coming and going. She'd lost track of how many times Piper had been here. This was the second time Phoebe was here. Prue really was getting sick of just getting used to having her sisters around when one of them would get sent back home. Inwardly, Prue was glad that she wasn't being sent back and forth like that. After all, if she got sent back, she'd only go to meet her death, and she didn't want to die. And in this world, she had what she'd never had in her own; happiness. She had Damien here, someone she'd never thought she'd ever meet, especially after learning her fate back home. For a while, she'd been so caught up in the fact that she'd turned out exactly like her mother despite how hard she tried not to be.

It had been a bit of a relief when an older Piper had shown up here. Prue had admittedly, for the first time in her life, liked not being the oldest, not being the one constantly having to make the decisions and take care of her sisters. She could see they could take care of themselves, and that even after her death, they were okay. Sometimes she wondered if they better off without her, but as a Halliwell, it seemed they all had to live with some type of sorrow. She only hoped that Mel and Ladybug's generation would be able to skip the losing someone close to them curse.

With a new wave of sorrow washing over her, she decided to go pay Phoebe a visit. Ladybug was at school, so it would be safe to talk. Prue had let on about some of the touchier things that had happened to her in her comments to Phoebe that should be addressed. Then there was also the fact she really should tell Phoebe about Damien's real nature. Well, it wasn't his real nature here, but it was in his own world. Part of her really dreaded it. How much grief had she given Phoebe about Cole? Prue definitely deserved to get some of it back. But of course, only time would tell how much grief Phoebe would give her. They were on better terms, and Prue did want to keep it that way. After everything the two had been through, Prue really did love Phoebe, and if some day she'd be sent back through the Seal to her death, she wanted her little sister to know that.

Grabbing some ice cream and taking the scrapbook of her vacation photos, Prue set off to Phoebe's apartment. Tucking the book under her arm, she knocked on the door, deciding to be polite. Though she could've astraled in and announced herself, but she didn't want to give Phoebe a heart attack.

The problem with her big sister being around was that she wasn't Phoebe's big sister any longer. They were much closer in age than they'd been before, by year at least. And, despite the years of pushing and poking and trying to act older than she was, Phoebe wasn't sure she liked it. It had taken her long enough to settle into being the middle sister instead of the baby. But here? Whole different dynamic.

That and she really didn't know what all of her life Prue knew and didn't know. To her, Prue had been gone for years. She'd been forced to move on and grow up without her guidance, just as she'd been growing to respect rather than just love her. She'd gotten married, gotten pregnant, and lost them both. She'd loved and lost plenty of times, lost her powers, gained one back, and turned her life around. But a lot of that, Prue might already know. She'd been there before, apparently, plus she could have heard it from anyone. Piper being there had at least made it a little easier. She'd been there a while, plus she was closer to Phoebe's time. She knew her, and well.

Now? Now she was confused and worried and a mother somehow and it was just...completely crazy. So she jumped when she heard the knock on the door. Good thing Prue hadn't projected herself on in. Phoebe wasn't used to that anymore, though it probably wouldn't be any worse than Paige orbing in when the mood struck her. "Come on in," she called, since she'd never bothered locking the door behind Ladybug when she'd left for school.

Prue was used to the different family dynamics here. During her year and a half in this place, she'd encountered a few versions of Piper, two versions of Phoebe and one version of Paige. Oh that had been incredibly weird with Paige, especially after first while Prue was still trying to adjust to the whole being dead at home thing. But with the constant coming and going of their family, Prue just tended to roll with things. And the fact that the Phoebe here now was much closer to her in age didn't really bother her. In fact, it probably worked in their favor and could, in theory, keep them from fighting so much.

Despite the various versions of her sisters showing up here, there were still some things she didn't know about their future. She knew all about Cole and what had happened there. She knew about the utopia thing. But while she did know that, she didn't want to just come out and say as much, especially about Cole. The other Phoebe had told Prue she'd been right about Cole, but what about this one? That had been a topic that fueled their rivalry, and Prue didn't want to ignite that again.

Upon the invitation to enter, Prue stepped inside, closing the door behind her, then stepped inside. "Hey, I hope rocky roads ice cream is all right." Prue smiled a bit, setting her scrapbook and ice cream down on the table. She looked up at Phoebe for a few moments, then went over to her, opening her arms to her for a hug. Prue didn't need to be an empath to know that Phoebe needed a hug. And Prue could use one herself.

Phoebe had assumed it was Prue. After all, there were only four people who would actually show up at her door anyway. Ladybug was in school and Piper was gone. That narrowed it down to Prue and Mel and since she was actually expecting Prue, it wasn't much of a surprise. But her face still lit up when her sister's still too unfamiliar face appeared in the door. She'd been without her big sister for so long that it was taking time to be able to be around her again. Once her mom and Grams had told the girls they couldn't see Prue yet, she'd gotten used to the idea that she wouldn't be seeing her again. And now she wasn't just a spirit, but a flesh and blood person and...well, it took time.

"Rocky road is fine," she began, attempting to keep the strong face she'd been putting on for Ladybug, and for Felicia as they planned for the party. But when Prue opened her arms, Phoebe became the youngest Halliwell who desperately needed her big sister all over again. She hopped up from her chair and flew into Prue's arms, hugging her tightly. "I hate this place, Prue," she protested, only that wasn't entirely true.

Yes, she'd miss Piper. And she missed Leo and Paige, too, and the boys. But here, she had Prue back. And she had the little girl she'd spent years dreaming of, right down to the perfect button nose. If she had to be pulled into an Apocalypse, there were worse ways to go.

She clung to Prue just a little bit longer than necessary and a bit tighter than she used to before pulling back and shaking her head. "It's okay. It's going to be okay. It's like Felicia said, she's home now and she's safe. Well. As safe as she can be to be a Halliwell," she added with a half-hearted smile.

[OOC: OMG HORRENDOUSLY LATE TAG IS LATE. I AM SO SORRY VIKI! T_T I totally meant to tag this earlier.]

This place certainly had it's drawbacks, ones Prue hated dealing with. The constant comings and goings of her family members being the most trying of them. But she'd learned to deal with it, to keep the majority of her feelings locked inside, much like she'd always done back home. She was the oldest, the one that had to step up and take care of Piper and Phoebe after their mother died. The one that had to grow up far too fast. Prue was always having to be strong even when she felt the exact opposite, it was something that carried over, and was perhaps magnified in a way, thanks to this place. But she was also quite the paradox because she really loved it here. Here, she had a freedom and happiness she'd never really found at home. She had Damien, someone she'd thought she'd never meet.

As she held Phoebe, Prue's outer strength was belied by returning Phoebe's tight hug. She closed her eyes, trying hard to keep herself from crying. She missed Piper, and she hated being separated from her family like this. But being here meant she was alive, and she didn't want to get taken back home just to die. "I know, sweetie. I hate it too, sometimes," she replied, gently rubbing Phoebe's back.

Prue returned the half-hearted smile. "She's right, things always turn out to be okay somehow. Besides, who knows, maybe Piper will come back soon. It's happened before." If she had a nickel for every time she'd thought that, she'd be on her way to being rich. "At least we have each other, Mel and Ladybug. We've still got family, and that's what's important." Things would work out, and Prue definitely savored every moment she had in this place with her family. She was meeting nieces she'd only ever meet as a ghost back home, and learning that even after her death, her family would be okay. Piper and Phoebe would get the families they always longed for and dreamt of as children. Prue still hated how she'd turned out too much like their mother, but what could she do? Fighting fate never did any good.
