Who: Team Badass Leia Organa and River Song What: Oh you know, pairing up and taking down some demons. LEIA NEEDS FRIENDS OKAY? When: Early evening of the 19th Where: Near the bookstore Leia works at Warnings: Violence.
Oddly enough, Leia found she had formed a routine of sorts. It was more than strange, Leia hadn't had a routine in years between being the youngest Senator and the Rebel Alliance. Add in everything that had happened since she'd been found by Vader and met Luke and Han? There was no time for routine. And truthfully? The princess and Rebel Alliance leader didn't know how to handle normal. She had a family unit. A very dysfunctional family unit, but a family unit all the same. Oh, Bail and Breha had been family, not to mention the extended family, but she had always known, deep down, that something was missing. And here, she had that. And she had Han. Han who undoubtedly was going stir crazy because he was stuck in one place for so long. He didn't have the Millennium Falcon. He didn't have Chewbacca. It couldn't be easy on him, yet he seemed to go with it. She felt bad that Mal had left as he had been Han's friend, but hopefully he'd find other friends.
Still. Routine. Train, go to work, train some more, go and make dinner. It was all so... normal. Something Leia had always wanted. And now that she had it? She was anxious. Then again, they were in a war. The enemy was unpredictable. This wasn't like dealing with the Empire. No. It was demons and things that shouldn't exist but did. And going to that alternate world had only proven how unpredictable it was. While she had spent most of her time finding ways to combat what the other her and Vader had done, she had made sure to learn what she could. None of which was useful here, but the knowledge at least existed.
Leaving the bookstore, Leia checked her purse. Lightsaber she had reformatted after Alema, check. Gun, check. Yes, she had a lightsaber, but Han was right, there was nothing like a blaster. Not to mention, not all threats were supernatural and pulling out a lightsaber in case of a human attack? Not exactly the brightest idea. Then there was her wallet, her keys, and good, she had everything. So waving goodbye to her coworker, Leia started the trek to the apartment she, Han and Anakin were living. Or, that was the plan until she heard a scuffle in the alleyway. Eyes narrowing ever so slightly, Leia quietly made her way to see what was going on. The Force presence was definitely not human for the three that were there. Well then...
"Christo!" That at least distracted the demons enough to keep them from finishing off whatever they were doing. And now they were closing in on her. That worked, too.
