WHO: Ariel & Kat Warbler WHAT: Waking up on a park bench and trying to flag down help WHERE: ...a park? lol WHEN: This evening RATING: G - PG, I guess it depends on who tags it? STATUS: In progress
Ariel awoke feeling suddenly far more uncomfortable than she had when she'd fallen asleep the night previous. When she went to stretch her arms above her head, something unfamiliar happened to her. Whatever it was, it hurt. She'd slammed her wrist against something cold and hard and when she opened her eyes to look, it was metal and black. Ariel sat up in her long pink nightgown and her eyes went wide. This wasn't the bedroom in Eric's palace! This was…this was outside! Ariel opened her mouth to call out for help and no sound came out. The action was reflexive and the result was to be expected since Ursula had stolen her voice.
Scrambling to her feet, Ariel looked around helplessly, wide-eyed and frightened. She went unnoticed by a human her father's age jogging by with one of those hairy, smaller humans running on four legs beside him; the type that Max was.
A bird swooped down at her and she ducked although there hadn't been a need; it landed gracefully on the hard bed from which she'd gotten up and it pecked at some crumbs left behind where her head had been. Ariel reached up and tousled her already disheveled hair quickly in an effort to remove any of that from her own fiery tresses. Gross.
Another human was approaching and Ariel waved her arms and hands at them frantically, trying to get their attention. She needed to know where she was and she needed to get back to the palace. She only had one day left before she would belong to Ursula if she couldn't manage to seal true love with a kiss. Help! Please help! she tried to say, her jaw flapping uselessly when the words wouldn't come, no matter how much she willed them to. If all humans were as helpful as Eric had been, she'd have a nice warm place to sleep and a lovely dress in no time to replace the nightgown billowing in the cold wind around her.
Cold…Ariel hadn't noticed that right away but as soon as it came to her realization, she noticed her skin pimpling up and her the hair on her arms standing up. She stopped flailing and studied the reaction in horror. What was happening to her?! Her eyes shot back up to the approaching human and they were wide with fear and confusion, begging silently to be helped. Ariel was lost and confused in a human world she knew next to nothing about and now she was experiencing feelings and sensations she didn't understand. Someone had to take her home, didn't they?
