Roger wasn't the most thrilled about this idea. Mostly because, with the exception of Collins and Angel, he had never seen a relationship actually work out well for those involved. And he really didn't need Freddie turning into another Benny. Because that would just fucking suck. Still, this sort of thing happened. Couples got married. He knew that. Didn't change the fact he was still wary about the whole thing. Florence had already hurt Freddie once by going with the Commie. What was to stop her from doing it again? Fuck. Was Freddie as bad as Mark in regards to Maureen!? (And really, the fact that, with the fictional thing going on, the actress who 'played' Florence had 'originated' the role of Maureen? Were the warning bells not blazingly obvious?!) Oh, no one thought Roger cared much about people, but that was a lie. Those he was close to? He was protective of. Which meant that, while his face twin could easily take care of himself, Roger would still worry. Because emotional wounds were harder to heal.
Even so, he kept his mouth shut for once and just went along with it. He had to quickly research some music to play. Or at least refresh his memory. It wasn't as if he had those books from home with him or anything. And while part of him entertained the idea of playing a Russian folk dance, he also wasn't that much of a jerk. So he just smirked at the idea, shook his head and went back to his quick search. And that was when he found it. Carcassi's Fantaisie sur "La Fiancee". It seemed to work for the whole... proposing thing. Sure, he'd go with that. Making sure it was the piece he thought it was and making sure he could play it. Roger nodded and tuned his guitar before he headed down to the lobby.
This was absolutely ridiculous. Really? Really But no matter. He did his part, and smirked slightly at the proposal and acceptance. Well, at least Florence hadn't slapped him for putting her on the spot or something. There was that. Okay. So far, so good. Freddie wasn't crushed in front of people, good first start. And it wasn't that he wasn't happy for his friend, he was. He was just jaded and concerned.
