Kimberly gave Connor a small smile, feeling her cheeks heat up as she did so. God, she hated when she could feel herself blushing because her skin was so fair, she knew it would show up every single time. "Why wouldn't I? All things considered, Connor, it's not that crazy," she replied, letting out a quiet amused sort of huff as she hugged herself again. "Don't mention it. I know what you mean," she agreed. Things this week, especially, were completely screwed up.
Taking her own bowl, Kimberly followed Connor to the couch, dropping casually down beside him. "You'd think I'd have gotten sick of the same and taught myself, but no. Dominos when I was high, Ramen when I was poor, and the student cafe when I was neither," she replied in a soft sigh. Good times, those were. Even though she wasn't a huge fan of pot these days — though, she did still have a small stash thanks to a guy calling himself Puck that she still needed and secretly wanted to finish, just for old time's sake — it still brought back a lot of great memories of when she and Shaina had met Frankie and Dano back at school. And so a bond had been forged. Kimberly's smile fell away and she looked down, wrinkling her brow as she tried to push the memory away. "My mom wasn't really the cook, when she was alive. I mean, once in a while, but mostly it was my dad. He loved being in the kitchen," she replied. It still hurt thinking about her mom, sometimes, but it had been six years. For the most part, Kimberly had adjusted.
Keen to change the subject, though, Kimberly took a deep breath and looked over at Connor eagerly. "So. Is it the Brandt guy first or...?" she asked. It wasn't entirely intentional that she'd said first, but once she realized she'd said it, she also realized she was okay with the idea of them watching both. She'd be even more okay with the idea of passing out on the couch with her head on his shoulder, but since he'd made it pretty clear that he wasn't into her and they were platonic, she ignored that little thought in the back of her mind.
