Kimberly shook her head. She didn't know; before showing up here, she'd only seen a few episodes with Dano, in passing. Other than that, she hadn't known anything about it or the phenomenon it was in its country of origin. "Not really, but I'll take your word for it. I've watched a lot on Netflix, but that's about it," she admitted. "But here...he's just like everybody else. He's amazing, but...he can't do his thing here, I meant." That wasn't what she'd meant at all, but she felt like if she admitted what she had meant, she'd make him feel badly or worse...inadequate. That was the last thing she wanted to do.
But what Connor said he did still sounded interesting enough. "That's pretty cool, actually," she replied, genuinely impressed. "A little heroic in its own way, is it not?" she asked candidly. What had Kimberly ever done other than cause even more death and destruction while trying to play the reluctant hero? Take pictures. Real impressive.
Spooked him, smooth move, the Shaina voice said smugly upon Connor's response. Kimberly took a breath and held it for a second before letting it out, deciding to change tack. The timing was wrong and it would be rude and uncomfortable and then he'd leave and she'd feel worse and...just...no. "Yeah," Kimberly said quickly. "I mean, it's just...you looked like...kind of uncomfortable telling me, but if we're friends...you should know that anything you say is in a vault. I'm not a gossiper and I just...you know, don't want you thinking that I'm gonna go around telling people what you just said. So...you can relax, you know?" she asked awkwardly.
