Connor gave a shy little grin and shook his head. "No, definitely not like him. That guy... He's like a hero back home, you know? No kid grew up and didn't know who it was, even when they took it off the air for years. Thanks, Russell T. Davies." Though it hadn't been Connor's first choice, no nerd kid didn't at least know of the Doctor. But that wasn't him. Not a bit.
"No... Ours is a whole other thing. And probably just as fictional," he added with a wry laugh. It was something he hadn't put a lot of thought into, but he knew it was probably true. What were the odds? "There's...holes in time. Rips in the universe caused by...well, actually, I'm still working that bit out." Not just then, actually. At that point he was trying to keep safe from Kryptonians and Siths gone wrong. And keep the sweet girl he'd met safe. But back home, sure. "But they can link to the past or the future. The team I work with back home contains them, tries to keep...the uh...creatures from those worlds from crossing into ours, and cleans up the damage from when they do."
The only other person he'd explained the ARC to from this world was Isabel, and she had her own whopping secret. But then, didn't Kimberly? How many people had Death on their tails, really? It was still crazy. He knew it was. But there it was, out in the open.
Of course, then she had to go throw him for a loop. "Um. Yeah? I mean, aren't we?" If they weren't, he probably looked really stupid just then. Spilling his guts to someone he'd basically just met. Yeah. Real helpful.
