Kimberly said nothing for a moment, mainly because it took her a lot longer than she'd have liked to admit to process what he'd said, given her distraction. "Like the Doctor?" she asked, arching an eyebrow. Now she was really curious about what Connor did. Kimberly had finally finished everything Netflix had of the Tenth Doctor and some of the Eleventh and Ninth. She was a fan; Kimberly was suddenly very interested to hear more details about what it was, exactly, that Connor did.
With only a little hesitation, Kimberly pulled her hair back into a sloppy ponytail. It looked like he'd finished making their dinner and apparently, she no longer had reason to try to impress him, so she decided it didn't matter if she looked ridiculous for having not brushed it first. At least she wouldn't have hair in her food.
Just call him out, Kimberly, she was thinking, only it sounded a lot more like Shaina than her own voice. She pushed the thought away. Who was she to point out that he was acting differently in person than he did over the internet? She wouldn't have liked it if someone did the same to her. But still, before she could stop herself, the words tumbled from her mouth as he spooned out their dinner.
"We're friends, right, Connor?" Oh, Kimmy, I hope you have a plan for where you're going with a question like that, the Shaina voice said skeptically. Kimberly closed her eyes in a slow blink, attempting to ignore it.
