Pulling on a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, being careful not to look too done up, but at the same time not to look too casual either, Kimberly checked herself in the mirror she had moved from the bathroom to her own room, figuring that the bathroom was a lot smaller and therefore, if it broke, it would've been a lot easier for her to step on the glass. She ran a brush through her hair as quickly as she could and looked over her shoulder reflexively when she heard Connor call out to her. "Uh huh, I just lost track of time," she called back. "You have impeccable timing; I'd just gotten out of the shower," she went on, putting down the brush, adjusting her bra to make her boobs look as perky as possible, and heading out of the bedroom. "Sorry," she added, giving him a sheepish smile when she made her way back to the kitchen where he seemed to be setting up.
There was a lot more stuff than she'd thought she'd be seeing. When he'd said pasta, her mind went to Ramen noodles; she'd been a college student once, after all. So, when she saw the supplies Connor had brought, she grinned, catching her bottom lip between her teeth. "Wow, you're, like, going all out, huh?" she asked, tucking a chunk of wet hair behind one ear. "I'm kind of excited, not gonna lie," she admitted with a bright smile.
It was kind of nice to see a guy in the kitchen for a change. Kimberly always wondered why her mom used to get that goofy smile on her face when her dad was making dinner, but now she understood. A swap in gender rules, if even only for one meal, was kind of refreshing. Plus, wow, he was so cute... "What'd ya bring to watch? Anything good?" she teased, craning her neck as if to see if he was trying to hide said DVD.
