Kitty couldn't help it, this was all a little bit surreal. She'd been in the same position as him not so very long ago. Not just that, but she had been much more angry than him, and far less confused. She had no idea what was going through his head, she didn't really want to know. Kitty had n ever really envied the empaths, to be quite honest. She knew a person that needed help when she saw it, though. This guy wasn't anywhere near as fine as he was pretending that he was. He was fumbling, he wasn't sure of himself at all, and he just seemed to be tripping over his self. It was cute, by all accounts, but they were signs that something was going on too.
Kitty didn't say anything to the boy as he stopped himself mid-sentence. There was nothing she needed to say, really. She had been talking to him and he hadn't really realized that. Maybe he had recognized that she'd been talking to him and it had shocked him. Either way she didn't need to say anything to his cut off comment, it wouldn't help anything. And maybe he was cool, popularity wise. He was nowhere near cool in his demeanor at the moment, though. Kitty stood there, patiently, though. She wasn't going anywhere, she was kind of a sucker for the whole helping people thing.
She was glad that she had continued and said what she had. If she hadn't he might have just continued to wander off. Getting lost here didn't seem like a very good thing. As he spoke again Kitty nodded. "That's exactly what I mean, as that's exactly what happened to me." Kitty thought about the way that she had Lockheed had arrived here in Lawrence. The poor little dragon was stuck back in the apartment, only because dragons didn't exist everywhere. Kitty didn't want to draw too much attention. "You're in luck. Helping is what I do. For starters, there's a little more to it than just being in Kansas." Kitty stated and paused just to make sure it sunk in.
"We've been transported to a whole different world, or universe." Kitty knew it sounded pretty far fetched, but if he needed some sort of proof or didn't believe her, she figured she'd find a way to make him believe her.
