She shouldn't do this. She knew she shouldn't. It seemed she could keep away from the one Time Lord she should run from furthest of all. She wasn't the War Queen anymore, she was stronger than that now. Not cruel. Not harsh and cold like she had been and she had not one, but two Doctors to confide in. She had other companions, friends. She would try to rebuild her friendship with Leela. But she was jeopardizing that just by thinking about him. And thinking about him she was. Oh she knew he'd have a plan, he'd want to use her, he'd want to find a way to hurt her friends. But she could no more walk away than she could tell the Doctors what was going on. And the Master knew it.
There was so much she didn't understand. A version of her had been here before, Lucifer had hated her. Seemed surprised to see her and Romana didn't understand why. She was just here, trapped like the rest of him, but her presence, this face, seemed to bother the devil. And no one would tell her why. Her mind was buzzing with everything, every question she possibly could have and it was there. And maybe just maybe he had the answers for her.
She found the meeting place easily, and slipped quietly through a door she'd been told to, looking around first just in case. She knew how careful one had to be in a place like this, and she knew she was hiding from her friends too. For him. The Master. Of all people...what was she doing? She should go, she should just go, turn around and leave and no one would be any the wiser. No one would believe him over her, he was who he was and she was a former president.
But of course she wouldn't leave, not after she saw him, saw that look on his face.
"Master" she said almost at a whisper moving toward him, she knew he was a hypnotist, knew he was dangerous. She'd heard all about the wife on Earth...but even so...she slipped up to his side and waited for him to react to her presence. And the Time Lady desperately wanted things to be as they were and for him to take her in his arms and kiss her.
