WHO: Magnus Martinsson and Loki WHAT: Arrival and meeting! Confusion! Ahhhh! WHEN: Evening, 8/15 WHERE: A sidewalk beside a phonebooth. (Not a phonebox.) WARNINGS: Um. Confusion! Ahhhh! Maybe some light language. And mention of previous shooting people and almost shooting people.
It had been a long day. Really, it had. Magnus almost had to shoot someone again and that would make any day long. Especially since it was the first time since he'd had to shoot and kill a suspect to save Kurt's daughter's life.
Once he got back to the office he sighed and leaned back against the window. Eyes closing, he reached up to pinch the bridge of his nose as he so often did when he was frustrated or upset about something. And almost having to shoot someone who had a gun pointed at a friend of yours as they tried to take him hostage? That was certainly stress making.
When Magnus heard a phone ringing behind him he let out a soft groan. At first he didn't take note of the fact that it was coming from behind him and he was leaning against a window that was very much not on the ground floor, nor did he take note of the fact that it didn't sound like the usual ringer of the office phones. No, all he took note of was that a bloody phone was ringing and everyone was going to expect him to be the one to answer the damn thing. Hell, they'd been known to get him to answer it when they were standing right beside the phones and he was on the other side of the room. Lazy bastards.
Initially his plan was to ignore it. They'd solved their case, they didn't have anything else to work on just yet. So he kept his eyes closed for another moment. At least until other things began to register.
Suddenly Magnus was feeling quite hot, and the traffic sounded much closer than it should. Confused, he dropped his hand from his face and opened his eyes, letting them widen further at the sight in front of him.
He was outside all of a sudden. Outside where it was hot and all of the passers by sounded remarkably American. Plus the signs, well, he could understand them as they were in his spoken language, but they were decidedly not in Swedish. Magnus pushed himself more upright, no longer leaning back against... whatever it was he was leaning against, and peeled off his navy jacket. Yes, it left his gun exposed, and his badge, but considering what was going on around him he felt that was likely the least of his worries. The fact that he was clearly losing his mind was much more important to him. "What the blo-" he stopped his shocked statement when he heard that damn phone ring behind him again. Quickly spinning around to see why a phone was ringing behind him he couldn't help it. He rolled his eyes when he realized he had been leaning against a phone booth. And that the phone was, in fact, ringing.
