>“Hi. So you're Tricksy right? That's what Needy called you.”
“I am, yes.” he replied, nodding slightly, “My name is Loki - Tricksy is a nickname that Needy has selected for me - though you are welcome to use whichever you prefer.” Loki was beginning to come to terms with the fact that his name was potentially going to either attract attention, or gain him suspicion - now that he had told Darcy who he was, there was little reason to continue to hide behind a pseudonym - though he was not going to object if one wanted to use it, given the option. He was creating his place here, redefining his name as something less sinister... or at least, that was what he hoped he was doing. It become difficult to tell, sometimes.
She took the charm from him, pulling it over her head, and Loki folded his now-empty hands behind his back. “You are welcome. It would be best if you keep it on at all times when not within the apartment complex’s walls.” It probably sounded as though the risk of possession was far higher than it was, like everyone not wearing an amulet was currently possessed, but ... well, it was better to over-state a risk than to under-state it.
He spared a glance around the small building they stood in, “I am surprised no one became alarmed at your...” he gestured slightly, indicating the blood she was currently covered in, “...state, prior to my arrival.” While it was not completely common for people to show up uninjured but bloody, Loki was sure it was not completely uncommon, either; Needy had mentioned that she had done the same upon her original arrival in Lawrence, after all. “I have cast an illusion over us - no one will notice it, now... Do you require anything before we move on to the complex?”
