New situations were always nerve wracking. Not just because they were lost. Kurt had issues trusting people usually, though it helped they were in the same situation. He was able to lower his guard a little. Being a mutant, he was used to being on guard at all times, so if he needed to be he could raise it again with little issue. He didn't see Ginny as a threat. She was trying to help him. That's al she'd done since he arrived. She didn't need to help since she had just arrived herself, but none the less she did. It made Kurt feel better about being with her.
"This way?" He pointed over his shoulder with a raised eyebrow and tilted his head slightly over his shoulder. "I usually end up going right whenever I am lost. I don't know why, but uI do. " He was rambling slightly but he was nervous. His nerves weren't so much from the redheaded girl as they were new world, apocalypse-nerves. "So, do you believe it? The apocalypse.." He said with a forced grin. Trying to make small talk out of a heavy situation.
The city was nice enough in it's own right. It was almost hard to believe that it was headed for an apocalyptic future. With Angels and Demons. Things Kurt had once upon a time thought were a myth before the Xavier Institute taught him otherwise. It made him uncomfortable to think about it. The Professor was around, but he was young. Didn't even know about the X-men, the team that he had helped Kurt become a part of and had given to him as a family.
